Napoli Centrale railway station is the main railway station in Naples. It is located next to Piazza Garibaldi. Under Napoli Centrale there is the metro station that is called Stazione Piazza Garibaldi (Garibaldi Piazza station), it is served by the metropolitan trains of the line 2.

Napoli Centrale railway station is connected by verious trains of Trenitalia and EAV (Ente Autonomo Volturno). For example, there are direct trains to and from Rome and to and from Salerno. In addition to this there is Circumvesuviana train station. Circumvesuviana is a railway operating services in the East of the Naples metropolitan area, managed  by EAV . The Circumvesuviana network is 142 km long, it covers around 96 stations and provides services to the important tourist destinations such as Pompeii (How to reach Pompeii) and Herculaneum (how to reach Herculaneum).

Napoli Centrale railway station offers numerous bus lines that connect different areas of Naples and the province. To move around the city, it is possible to use buses operated by  ANM, Azienda Napoletana Mobilità.

In addition to this, there are also buses Alibus that connect Napoli Centrale with Capodichino Airport. Average journey time is only 20 minutes.

As was mentioned before, under Napoli Centrale railway station there is the metro station line 2 that is called Stazione Piazza Garibaldi (Garibaldi Piazza station). Line 2 is operated by Trenitalia SpA. The line starts operate at 5.20 and finishes at 23.20. Trains arrive with frequency of 8 minutes.

Beside this, Napoli Centrale is connected with line 1 of Naples metro through a passage. Line 1 is operated by ANM, Azienda Napoletana Mobilità. From Piscinola first train leaves at 6.00 and from Garibaldi – at 6.20. As for the last train, from Piscinola a train leaves at 22.29 and from Garibaldie – at 23.02.

Siena railway station is situated on Carlo Rosselli square. The railway station is not big, there are 7 platforms in total. At the station there are tickets offices for both trains and buses, newspaper kiosk, bar. Just in front of the station there is a shopping mall and the University of Siena for foreigners/ l’Universita di Siena per gli Stranieri.

There are national and regional trains that connect Siena with different cities of Toscana and other regions of Italy. For example, it is easy to reach Florence by train. Every day leaves 31 trains that connect two cities. The first train to Florence from Siena leaves at 05:00, whilst the last one at  21:26 (during weekdays). The average journey time is one hour. The price is 9,10 EUR. What is more, from the train station of Siena it is also possible to reach Roma Termini. There are 21 trains each day that connect two cities. The first train to Rome from Siena leaves at  05:43, the last one – at 20:24 (weekdays). The average journey time is 3 hours and 30 minutes. You need to do 1 change. Tickets cost from 18 EUR.

In Siena there are 3 bus companies that connect Siena with different cities of Toscana (such as Pisa, Arezzo, Grossetto, Piombino, Florence and so on) and with cities of other regions of Italy: TIEMME SpA, BUSITALIA – SITA Nord and SIENA Mobilità. There are two main bus terminals: railway train station and piazza Gramsci, that is situated in the city center. Usually buses stop in both of them, but it is better to verify that with a driver. Siena station is situted just 2 km from city center. From the station it take only 5 minutes to get to the city center; buses leave regularly or to piazza Gramsci or to per piazza del Sale. Tickets can be bought on the bus (with some extra charges) or in the selling points (such as bars, newspaper kiosks, tabaccherie). Urban tickets cost around 1 EUR.

What is more, from the Siena railway station leave Baltour buses to Rome. These buses stops at the railway station and in Piazza Gramsci. Tickets cost around 9 EUR. There are 12 buses per day that connect two cities. Average journey time is 3 hours. Buses arrive to Roma Tiburtina. What is more, there are buses  BusShuttle, operated by Tiemme (in collaboration with SIT and ByBus), that connect Siena with Fiumicino Airprot. There are 3 buses per day, both during weekdays and during holidays. It is necessary to book tickets beforehand. Average journey time is 3 hours. Line FSBusitalia operated by Busitalia Veneto offers connections between Treviso Airport and Padova every day. At the airport the bus leaves from Noalese street, that is situated on the right from the Airport exit, whilst in Padova the bus terminal is situated near the train station. Average journey time is 1 hour. One way tickets cost  2,40 €. Tickets can be bought in the ticket offices in Treviso Airport at the arrival zone or on the bus (with some extra charges).

2. Line 53E di ACTV connects Vencie with Padova every day. Average journey time is one hour. In Padova the bus terminal is situated near the train station, whilst in Venice in  Piazzale Roma, bus lane B6. ATVO is the only bus company in Venice that can arrive directly on Piazzale Roma. Buses also stop in Mestre train station (ATVO train station) and in Mestre Corso del Popolo/Banca BNLATVO. One way tickets cost 12 EUR, two-way ticket – 22 EUR. In this article we are going to talk about how to get to Perugia from Umbria International airport, Roma Fiumicino airport and Florence airport.

  • Umbria International airport ‘San Francesco d’Assisi’ – Perugia

1. Buses of Umbria Mobilità  offer connections between Umbria airport and Perugia, Assisi, Foligno and other cities of Umbria. One way ticket to Perugia costs 2,50 EUR (on a bus – 3,50 EUR). Tickets can be bought at the airport bar.

2. A bus of  ACAP – SULGA company offers daily EXPRESS connections between Umbria airport and Perugia. Tickets can be bought on board. One way tickets cost 8 EUR, two way tickets – 14 EUR. Florence airport is situated 160 km from Perugia. Unfortunately there are no direct connections. First, you need to arrive at the train station of  Santa Maria Novella di Firenze. In order to do that you can take a bus Volainbus, operated by Busitalia Sita Nord/ATAF, that connects Florence airport and Florence in 30 minutes. Average journey time is 20 minutes. One way tickets cost 6 EUR, two-way tickets – 10 EUR. Tikcets can be bought in ticket offices of l’Ataf Point and CRAL Ataf. The Ataf Point is situated at the train station of Santa Maria Novella, whilst  CRAL Ataf is situated on via Alamanni 20r, via Pacinotti 1/a and in via Pratese, 103/d.

From 28/07/16 the first bus leaves the airport at 05.30, whilst the last one at 00.30. In Florence buses stop Galleria stationa and in the bus terminal/autostazione bus Italia. This bus terminal is situated next to  the tarin station of Santa Maria Novella di Firenze.

Once arriving at the train station of Santa Maria Novella, you should take a train to Perugia Fontivegge. The average journey time is 2 hours. The prices are from 14 EUR. There are both direct and indirect trains. You can check the timetable on the official website of Trentitalia.

1. Buses of Società Sena (Gruppo Baltour) offers daily connections between Florence and Perugia. Buses run two times from Florence and 3 – from Perugia. The price is from 11 EUR. Please note that teh bus stops are different, depending on what time the bus arrives/departures.

From Florence airport a bus leaves at  17.00 and at 20.00. At 17.00 a bus leaves from the bus stop of  SITA-Via S.Caterina Siena and arrives in Perugia at 19.10 (train station Fontivegge). At 20.00 a bus leaves from Loc.Bottai, via Cassia Fronte Bar la Certosa and arrives in Perugia at 21.50 (train station Fontivegge).

From Perugia  a bus leaves at  04.30 a.m, 07.30 a.m  e 10.30 a.m. At 04.30 a.m a bus leaves Fontivegge train station and arrives in Florence at 06.45 a.m, (SITA-Via S.Caterina Siena ). At 07.30 a.m  a bus leaves from Fontivegge train station and from piazza Pertigiani and arrives in Florence at 09.30 a.m (Loc.Bottai, via Cassia Fronte Bar la Certosa). At last, a bus leaves at 10.30 a.m. from Fontivegge train station and arrives in Florence at 12.40 p.m. (SITA-Via S.Caterina Siena )

1. Baltour, the bus company of Italy offers connections between Rome and Milan and vice versa every day. Buses run 6 times per day. The bus runs only once per day. In Perugia the bus stops in Piazza Partigiani, whilst in Potenza in Viale del Basento. The autumn and winter seasons are upon us, so it’s time to think about doing something warm and active. One of the best places to do that is a charming town Bormio that is situated in the Lombardia region, not far from Milan. Bormio is well-know for its spa and wellness centers and skiing.

To get to Bormio from Milan you can first arrive to Tirano with the train. From the train station Milano Centrale to Bormia every day leave direct trains that connects two cities in 2 hours. From Tirano you can take a direct bus to Bormio. The bus company Perego offers direct conenctions between Tirano and Bormio. The average journey time is one hour.

There are two bus companies that connect Bormio with Linate airport, Malpensa airport and Bergamo Orio al Serio airport: Bormio Livigno Transfer e Livigno Express.

1. Bormio Livigno Transfer offers direct connections between all 3 Milan airports and so called Alta Valtellina (that include Bormio, Livigno, Valdidentro and Santa Caterina Valfurva). A Bormio the bus stops near Agenzia Terralta Viaggi, the bus also stops in Livigno (Centro Sci Fondo), Valdidentro/Isolaccia (Piazza IV Novembre) and Santa Caterina Valfurva (Piazza Magliavaca).

During the winter period that is from 03/12/2016 to 25/04/2017, the bus leaves every day, whilst during the sumemr perido from 09/06/2016 to 18/09/2016 – only on Thursday and on Sunday. During the winter period the bus leaves only once a day from Sunday to Friday and twice on Saturday. A Bormio the bus stops near Agenzia Terralta Viaggi. Tickets can be bought online on the official website of Bormio Livigno Transfer. The booking is obligatory and it should be made at least 3 days before the departure. –  Bergamo Orio al Serio airport  is situated 175 km from Bormio. It is the closest airport to Bormio. At the airport the bus stops in Arriving International Zone. The price is from 37 EUR.

Livigno is situated in the Lombardi region and is well known as a ski resort.

  • Milan – Livigno

Unfortunately, Livigno is rather difficult to reach, however it is certainly worth it. There is no direct connections between Milan and Livigno. At first, you should arrive to Tirano. In order to do that you need to take a train from the station Milano Centrale. Direct trains to Tirano leave every day, the average journey time is 2 hours. The journey is very beautiful, as the train passes Lake of Como.

Then, from Tirano you should take a bus to Livigno. Please note that it is necessary to change a bus in Bormio. During the winter period such bus connections are garanteed. It takes 2 hours to get from Tirano to Livigno. In Livigno a bus makes 4 stops: BIVIO TEOLA/ALEXANDER, (S.ROCCO), SCI FONDO, VIA LI PONT/S. MARIA.
