Roma Trastevere Railway StationRoma Trastevere is the fourth railway station of the capital for passenger flow, after Roma Termini, Roma Tiburtina and Roma Ostiense. It is situated in Piazza Flavio Biondo in the south of Trastevere.

Inside the station there are several  services including ticket office, bar, and newsstand.

Roma Trastevere railway station is situated at the junction of the line Roma – Fiumicino Airport and Roma – Pisa.

Roma Trastevere railway station is served by:

  • regional railway line FL1 -> 4 trains per hour to Fiumicino Airport and Fara in Sabina, 2 of them prolonged to Poggio Mirteto and 1 to Orte;
  • regional railway line  FL3 -> 4 trains per hour to Roma Ostiense and Cesano, 2 of them prolonged to Bracciano and 1 to Viterbo.;
  • regional railway line  FR5 -> 4 trains per hour to Roma Termini e Civitavecchia, 2 of them prolonged to Montalto di Castro-Grosseto and 1 to Pisa.
  • bus ATAC lines (night and day).

 is the main railway station of the capital and the first in Italy for passenger flow. It is situated in Piazza dei Cinquecento and owes its name to the nearby Terme di Diocleziano (Baths of Diocletian).

Roma Termini station offers services and links designed for tourists and Roman citizens: the station is now the central hub of the north-south link of Italy and of the transport in the city.

The to/from Roma Termini connections include transportation for each category: high speed​​, Eurostar, Intercity, national, international and regional trains, trolleybuses, trams, buses and subway.

The platform 24 is used for train Leonardo Express, direct line to Fiumicino airport leaving every 30 minutes. Termini station is also connected to Fiumicino Airport via shuttle bus service.

From Termini you can reach Ciampino airport via shuttle bus from Termini or using a regional railway line to the station of Ciampino and then an Atral shuttle bus to the airport.

Termini station is also the meeting point of all the city’s subway lines: Line A (Anagnina – Battistini), Line B (Laurentina – Rebibbia) and Line B1 (Laurentina – Conca d’Oro / Jonio soon). By subway from Termini you can easily reach destinations such as the Colosseum, the Vatican and Piazza di Spagna.

The station offers several bus lines to Rome and province:
ATAC for travelling in Rome (find your bus route);
COTRAL for travelling in province and to the airports;
ATRAL for travelling to Ciampino airport;
FASHION BUS  bus shuttle to Valmontone Outlet Village (leaving only at 10 a.m. and only on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays);
– 110 OPEN bus for the city tour.

To reach the Rainbow Magicland theme park you get to Valmontone station by train and then continue with the free shuttle bus.

For Ciampino and Fiumicino airports or other tourist destinations, like Zoomarine, you can use other transport companies like Terravision or TAM Bus.

Terravision group offers a daily direct connection Rome Ciampino Airport – Rome Termini Station. It takes about 40 minutes and a frequency of 20 minutes.

Atral

Atral company offers a daily direct connection Ciampino Airport – Anagnina Station, from which you can reach many areas of Rome and province: from Anagnina you can take line A of Rome Metro and several Atac buses (to Rome) and Cotral (to Lazio). Line Airport – Anagnina takes about 20 minutes (indicatively Mon – Sun  06.00 – 22.30).

From Ciampino Station there is also an Atral bus to the Hospital and the University of Tor Vergata.

Trains of the line B run every 8 minutes; trains departing from terminus Laurentina have two different destinations, Rebibbia (line B) or Conca D’Oro (line B1). The route is the same till stop BOLOGNA, than it changes.

Currently, line M5 is under construction. Once finished, it connects the city from the north (Bignami terminus) to the west (San Siro Stadio terminus).

Line M5 of Milan Metro crosses line M3 at stop Zara, line M2 and lines S1, S2, S5, S6, S7, S8, S11, S13 at stop Garibaldi FS. Once finished, it crosses line M1 at stop Lotto and linea S3, S4 at stop Domodossola.

Torino Porta Nuova Railway Station

Torino Porta Nuova Railway StationTorino Porta Nuova is the main railway station of Turin and the third in Italy for passenger flow after Roma Termini and Milano Centrale. It is situated in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II near piazza Carlo Felice.

Torino Porta Nuova is a terminal station and offers some of main national lines, regional and interregional lines. It is also a terminus of the national TAV high speed rail to Milan, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Naples and Salerno. Currently it doesn’t offer any international lines.

The station is managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) and commercial area for passengers is managed by Grandi Stazioni. Inside station there is a mall.

Torino Porta Nuova Railway Station offers several services for passenger: newsagents, pharmacy, food outlets, ATMs, parking, luggage storage and a bike-sharing service.

Torino Porta Nuova is also the central hub of Turin Subway (Fermi-Lingotto).

Torino Porta Nuova railIt’s possible to reach the Torino-Caselle airport via the shuttle bus service Caselle Express without intermediate stops.

From Torino Porta Nuova Railway Station the following museums are easy reach: Egyptian Museum, national museum of Cinema and Regional Museum of Natural History. The Mole Antonelliana, which houses the National Museum of Cinema, is within walking distance (about 20 minutes) or bus 61 (up to Via Po) and 68 (up to Via Rossini).

Other tourist destinations are easily reached: Piazza Castello and Palazzo Reale, Palazzo Madama and the Museum of Ancient Art, the Cathedral of St. John and the Holy Shroud, Castle and Valentino Park, the GAM museum and Venaria Reale.

Lago-di-Como

Lake Como is situated on the north of Milan and its territory is divided between the province of Lecco and the province of Como, main towns of which are situated just within  40 кm from each other. Lake Como is also situated 50 km away from Switzerland. Its closeness to the train stations, to the airports of Milan and to the main roads makes it easily reachable.

  • By train

Milano-Como

The most usual way to reach lake Como is by train. The most comfortable ones are those trains that leave from the train station Milano Centrale. You have several options to consider:

  • National lines Milano Centrale-Como-Bellinzona, the train stops at Como San Giovanni [trains TILO] (Travel time from Milano is around 30 minutes.)
  • Trains EuroCity Milano Centrale – Zurigo, the train stops at Como San Giovanni [trains Trenitalia] (Travel time from Milano is around 20 minutes)
  • Trains  S11 Rho-Milano P. Garibaldi-Chiasso, the train stops at Como San Giovanni [trains Trenord] Attention: the train from Milan leaves from Garibaldi Square/Piazza Garibaldi (Travel time from Milano is around 50 minutes).
  • Regional train Milano-Saronno-Como, the train stops at Como Lago [trains Trenord]
    (Travel time from Milano is around 60 minutes).

 

Milan-Lecco

If you want to reach the province of Lecco you might consider the following options:

  • Regional trains  Milano Centrale-Lecco-Sondrio-Tirano [trains Trenord] (Travel time from Milano is around 40 minutes).
  • Trains S8 Milano P. Garibaldi-Carnate-Lecco [trainsTrenord] Attention: the train from Milan leaves from Garibaldi Square/ Piazza Garibaldi (Travel time from Milano is around 60 minutes).

You  can also reach Lecco from Bergamo.
Regional train Bergamo-Lecco [trains Trenord] (Travel time from is around  40 minutes).

  • By car

Milan – Como

If you want to reach the town Como from Milan (the distance is around 40 km) you need the motorway  A9 Lainate – Como – Chiasso.  If you want to reach the city center of the town Como it is better to use the exits Como Centro or Monte Olimpino. If you want to reach the western shore of the lake it is better to take the exit Como Lago.

 

Milan- Lekko

If you want to reach Lekko from Milan (the distance is around 50 km) you need SS 36 Nuova Valsassina, a very convenient motorway that allows you to reach Lekko in less than an hour.

*From Como to Lekko (the distance is around 30 km) you need the state roads 342, 639 and 36. The travel time is around 45 minutes.

* From Bergamo to Lekko (the distance is around 35 km) you need the state roads  342 and 639. The travel time is around 50 minutes.

 

  • The territory of the lake Como

The whole area of the Como Lake is served by an extensive network of bus routes that allow the visitor to move easily through the two towns of Como and Lecco, connecting all major villages along the banks of the lake and the internal villages immersed in the mountain valleys.

Line Como – Bellagio

From the railway station of Como there is a bus line to Bellagio, which is served by the company ASF Autolinee. The service makes several trips per day, working every day, including holidays. The ride from Como to Bellagio has a duration of about one hour and tickets can be purchased at several retailers, also inside the railway station of Como.

Line Lecco – Bellagio

The company Linee Lecco connects Lecco to Bellagio with several trips made daily, including holidays. The ride lasts about an hour and these are set every 2 hours.

  • winter timetable is valid from 14.09.2015 till 08.06.2016. Note: from Lekko to Bellagio the buses don’t leave at 10:15 and at 14:30; from Bellagio to Lekko buses don’t leave  at 10.15 . Minori

Minori is a town and comune in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy, situated on the Amalfi Coast. The origins of the name Minori come from its association in the past with the river that crosses it, La Rheggina, its ancient Latin name was Rheggina Minor. This name coincides with the name of the neighboring village Maiori, then known as Rheggina Maior. In time, it has come to be known simply as Minori.
Main sights are: Basilica di Santa Trofimena where are the remains of martyr Saint Trofimena, Roman Maritime Archeological Villa, Saint Nicola Convent. Among the various events that take place in Minors, remember the “Gusta Minori” interesting food and wine event that takes place every year in early September combined with the prize for literature food and wine. Fractions of Minor are: Montecita, Torre Paradiso, Via Monte, Via Pioppi, Via Torre, Villa Amena.

There are several bus companies that provide direct connection between Bergamo airport Orio al Serio (often called just Bergamo airport) and the city center of  Milan as well as between the city center of Bergamo and Turin.

  • Buses Terravision

Buses Terravision offers daily direct connections between the train station Milano Centrale  and the Airport of Bergamo Orio al Serio. One way ticket costs 5 euros, two way ticket costs  9 euros. Children until age 4 – free. Average journey time is 60 minutes. The bus stops only once at Cologno Monzese. Passengers are asked to be at the bus stop 15 minutes before the departure.

Buses run every 20-30 minutes.  The first bus from Bergamo airport Orio al Serio leaves at 4:05, the last one at 1:00. The first bus from the train station Milano Centrale leaves at 2:50, the last one at 22.

At the train station Milano Centrale the bus stops on Piazza Luigi di Savoia whilst at the airport  of Bergamo Orio al Serio the bus stops under the bus stop roof number 1.

OrioShuttle offers daily direct connections between the train station Milano Centrale  and the Airport of Bergamo Orio al Serio.  One way tickets that are bought online cost 4 euros, two way tickets – 8 euros. One way tickets bought otherwise cost 5 euros, two way tickets – 10 euros. Average journey time is 50 min.

At Bergamo airport the bus stops under  the bus stop roof number 4. In the train station Milano Centrale the bus stops on Piazza Luigi Savoia.

Buses  Autostradale offers daily direct connections between the train station Milano Centrale  and the Airport of Bergamo Orio al Serio. From Milan the first bus leaves at  2.45, the last one at 23.15. From Bergamo airport  the first bus leaves at 7.45, the last one at 00.15. Buses leave every  30 min.

Two way ticket costs 9 euros, one way ticket – 5 euros, tickets for children from 2 till 12 cost 3.50 euros. You can buy tickets on the official website of Autostradale company.

Company buses Sadem offers daily direct connections between Turin and Bergamo airport Orio al Serio.  There is no bus on the 25 of the December. One way ticket costs  25 euros. In Turin the bus stops on Bolzano street at the corner of Grattoni street. The bus station is situated just in front of the train station Porta Susa. At Bergamo airport Orio al Serio the bus stops in the terminal of arrivals on the bus stop of Orio Shuttle. The average  travelling time is  3 hours.

Air Bus

Buses Airbus of the ATM company provide daily connection  Linate Airport – Milano Centrale. One way tickets cost 5 €, two way tickets – 9 € and for children from 0 to 12 cost 2,50 €. The tickets can be bought on board without any additional charges as well as in all authorized tickets selling points and automatic ticket vending machine in the Milan metro. Buses operate from  6:00 a.m. till 24:00 Average time journey is  25 min.

Timetable

  • From Milano Centrale (the bus stops on Piazza Luigi di Savoia): the bus leaves at 6:00, 6:15, then every 30 min till  20:15. After 21:00  buses leave every 30 min till 23:00.
  • From Linate Airport (the bus stops near Arrival zone 6): buses operate from 6:30 a.m. with 30 min time interval till  23:30.

  • Direction Linate: P.le Dateo, at the corner with via Uberti
