Line M5 of the Milan Subway is distinguished by the lilac color used for logo, the map and the decoration of stations and trains.
Currently, line M5 is under construction. Once finished, it connects the city from the north (Bignami terminus) to the west (San Siro Stadio terminus).
Interchanges
Line M5 of Milan Metro crosses line M3 at stop Zara, line M2 and lines S1, S2, S5, S6, S7, S8, S11, S13 at stop Garibaldi FS. Once finished, it crosses line M1 at stop Lotto and linea S3, S4 at stop Domodossola.
Opening hours
Line M5 of Milan Metro is active from 6am to 0:00am. The frequency of the trains varies on average from 2 to 4 minutes.
Stations
Lilac line M5 of Milan Metro has no branches.
The first part, between Bignami and Zara, was opened in 2013 and the second part, between Zara and Garibaldi, in 2014. The completion of the third part (Garibaldi-San Siro Stadio) is planned in 2015.
The line will have 19 stations. Currently only the part Bignami-Garibaldi Fs is active.
